Students will learn about the body's systems, their unique roles as we grow and develop, as well as their importance and co-dependence with each other. Being able to dissect a frog will give my students the opportunity to see a model of how their body is arranged and organized. Hearing and seeing pictures is one thing, but experiencing and identifying how intertwined these systems are and yet separate is only achieved and appreciated through dissection. This is an opportunity students won't have until high school, if that. Life Science is all about students and their role in the world. Time for them to see different species are not all so different.
