The use of these scales will not only make it versatile for my 8th grade Science student but also for my 7th/8th Forensic students as the scales will get used in the "field" 8th graders will utilize the electronic balances as they use them for Density calculations to determine if an object will float or sink, in chemical analysis to weigh out the crucial masses for chemical reactions. My 7/8th Forensics students will use the electronic balances as we will determine the identity of "mystery powders" through quantitative analysis, establish densities of plastics in "accident scenes" and bone density as we examine skeletal remains.
