These materials will enhance the children’s hands on learning experience in the classroom. I will start with reading the books on the different children, and their dreams. We will talk about each book in-depth, and watch videos to discuss different types of jobs for each title. Then I will introduce the children to each type of building piece. We will discuss expectations, and how we want future classes to be able to use all the pieces from each box. Each student will be able to work collaboratively with each other on the Bridge Construction. Each day a separate group will be able to use the the other pieces for station time, starting off with building their own creations, while gradually moving to more structured pieces. On days for indoor recess or when we cover those specific topics in science or math, the classroom as a whole will get to use the building tiles. I hope to utilize these pieces for years to come with different classes, to provide the students with more learning experiences for brain development.
