These tools will help us reach our garden goals such as cleaning and maintaining the soil. The spading forks will be utilized for our seasonal planting. We will be planting vegetables such as spinach, lettuce, beets, carrots, radishes and chili peppers and herbs such as oregano, mint, rosemary and cilantro in all of our beds. The gloves will be helpful for proper harvesting technique. Students will learn to be responsible with the tools by taking care of them and knowing that they will be used in years to come. Overall, our 4th grade students will collaborate while learning to respect and show off the importance of a learning garden.
