The forensic science materials I chose will enhance our online curriculum. Instead of just reading about fingerprint and footprint analysis, students will be able to experience the lab work performed by actual forensic scientists in preparation for careers in the fields of forensic science and criminal justice. Funding this project will allow my high school students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they engage in hands-on forensic science lab activities. They will be able to make connections between what they learn in class and the skills used by forensic scientists working in the fields they are interested in working in.
