The selected materials for this project will help support my student's fine motor skills, as well as their ability to begin learning independently and cooperatively during small group times. Well developed fine motor skills support a child's independence with self-help skills, as well as their early and future writing abilities. Children will practice squeezing, pinching, and snapping materials funded by this project. The materials for this project will also help support my student's academic skills. They will be learning about shapes, colors, letters, and numbers through the manipulation of these fine motor tasks. Children love to learn with hands-on activities!
