Mouthpieces are an essential part of playing a musical instrument. For brass players, this piece of the instruments is basically the control-rod for how they sound and how the instrument responds to them. Right now, however, our band program is short instruments and mouthpieces that will help these students be successful. While they are able to share instruments, we have run into the issue of students having to share a mouthpiece, which can be a hindrance to their individual success. The sharing of mouthpieces also prohibits students from being able to take one home to practice with, which leads to them getting behind in class. By donating to this project, you will enable students to be able to practice and work on essential musical skills independently, thus allowing them to continue to grow and achieve as musicians. Students will be able to work and play without having to worry about whether their mouthpiece is clean, or if they will be able to take one home to practice. Because of you, they will be able to succeed.
