During lessons, I would allow my students to answer some questions using a white board. In order to do this, they need dry erase markers to write their answers. They will be used during phonics, reading, and math. During phonics, they will spell out words using the sounds I am giving them. During reading, they can share their thinking using guided questions. For math, they will be able to show their work and answers. This is also giving me an opportunity to see what they are thinking during the lessons and adjust accordingly. By having students share their thinking and ideas throughout the lesson, I am able to see how it progresses as I am teaching or they are practicing.
