I have groups of all different learning levels. With 28 kids it is hard to meet the needs of each child in a whole group setting. My students would benefit from a table where I can easily accommodate each of their needs in a small group setting. A u-shaped table will give me an area where I can work with a small group of children. I would be able to pull my students to master a skill that they may be struggling with in class. My job is to make sure every child leaves my classroom at the end of the day feeling like they were successfully able to accomplish a task they were asked to do. Having a small work area will help me accomplish many learning opportunities with my kids.
