My commitment to ensuring the scholars I teach have access to essential science resources is unwavering. With the introduction of Sphero robots in my classroom scholars will have access to hardware, software, and community engagement opportunities which will aid in promoting 21st century skills. Most of my students have not had access to instruction in coding but they understand the positive implications this skill can have on their future. It is important that my scholars learn critical skills such as coding to remain competitive candidates for the technology jobs of tomorrow. Designated STEM time will be set aside weekly to ensure every one of my science students has access to practicing coding using the Spheros. As an educator, I am excited about the possibilities coding skills will inevitably bring to the scholars in my classroom. There is no doubt that the best is yet to come for my middle grades scholars. They are constantly seeking opportunities to better their academic outcomes. With our Spheros expectations will be riding high.
