Government can be challenging to learn and understand. There’s a lot of vocabulary, some concepts are incredibly complex and application can be tricky for students that are several years from using any of it. Gimkit is a great review game to practice and apply concepts both in class and at home. My kids love it and even request homework if it means practice with a gimkit game. While students are actually answering review questions, they are doing it in a way that enables them to strategize in order to win. Kids like the competition but benefit from the eexperience, so they win both in the game and on in class assessments. Through review and practice, students gain a greater understanding of conceots and their application. It definitely helps them to be successful in class, but I hope their knowledge of American government makes them better citizens.
