This book, Wonder, will allow my students and I to explore some tough but very real problems our children face everyday in school. This book centers around bullies, good friends, family, loving and accepting oneself and so many life lessons in: choosing kindness, appreciating everyone for who they are, perseverance and empathy. This project will be one that will benefit my students for the rest of their lives. The books will become part of the classroom library to be used in many years to come. The potential number of people that will be touched by this book, is ENDLESS! The school counselor and I will be working on this project together. Here are some crucial life-lessons the children will be part of: "Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness" and "We carry with us, as human beings, not just the capacity to be kind, but the very choice of kindness."
