I work at a Title 1 school that has a high poverty level and a high transient rate. Grades 3-5 are gender-based classrooms and I teach an all girl third grade class. These young ladies do not have many of the privileges/opportunities for support and learning at home as many other children do. I want to provide these young ladies with rich, popular books and math games that they are not able to get their hands on at home. I want to provide these young ladies with opportunities that they may not be provided with outside of school.

About my class
