The supplies I am requesting already have a place in my lesson plans. By donating to my project, you will help increase hands on learning in my classroom. Students benefit from breaking down mathematical concepts. Working with concrete materials helps students be able to experience the learning. Manipulatives will help students understand the why! Students will be able to work together and "discover" the reasoning behind concepts rather than reading it in a textbook or from a projector. When we understand the why, students are more successful. They will start to have buy in and take responsibility for their learning.
