My students enjoy reading books together as a class and I want to further nurture that excitement by providing books that they can access on their own. My second graders are building up their independence in reading, and having books that they like and enjoy will further support their reading growth. Books are treated as little treasures in our classroom, as students understand that they bring knowledge into our lives. They take any opportunity to read as many pages as they can throughout the day, and I know that they will benefit from having numerous books that they can read.
