These tablets will enable my students to interact with exciting and engaging digital learning opportunities. My 6th graders are highly energetic and have what it takes to practice multiple standards and skills each day. This technology will provide for extended practice and passion projects. It will also enable a differentiated approach to learning which is necessary for meeting the needs of each individual student and at their own pace. Students LOVE choices, and with valuable online programs like Get More Math, Gimkit, Kahoot and Quizzizz, they will both collaborate and work independently to become proficient scientists, technicians, engineers, and mathematicians! These devices will also enable me track their progress and INSTANTLY respond with quality feedback. Students are more likely to succeed if they do not have to wait a day or two for feedback and corrections! Misconceptions can be cleared up immediately! I know differentiation, choice, and instant assessments can equip and empower these young ones to become strong and confident in their STEM skills!
