These chairs will be placed in my cool down section, where they can read, use stress balls or just relax in these comfy seats and meditate. Many of my students leave their classrooms upset and/or frustrated from various circumstances. When they enter my room, I dont want them to feel like there in another room with more consequences. I want them to walk in and immediately shift their focus and feel a sense of comfort and relaxation. Studies show when a student is frustrated they cannot learn. Getting them to calm down and regroup is my goal. This furniture will greatly assist me in transforming my room into a safe place.
