These hands-on materials will give students the opportunity to explore learning in more relevant and creative ways. With the use of graphic novels, students will have the opportunity to design their own comics to demonstrate lessons in Social Studies and Science. Graphic novels are excellent tools for building a love of reading in our struggling students and will help them explore the many emotions we are experiencing during COVID. STEM materials will be used to create models and express ideas artistically. After a year of online learning, students need the opportunity to use their hands and minds while exploring literature and scientific concepts, expressing themselves creatively, through ways that build relationships.
