Having an iPad at my classroom will allow for me to better reach my students through the use of videos, visual schedules, timers, and everyday interactive learning social skills activities. Some of my students require visual schedules to be able to understand that they need to work before receiving a break. During these breaks, they need access to a visual timer so they can mentally prepare for the next activity that is being presented to them. With the use of the iPad, my students will have better access to resources that are needed during sessions and the school day that otherwise may not be readily available. In some cases, school days can be hectic with schedule changes, special assemblies, special visitors, etc. This can be quite disturbing for my students, as they need to be prepared and aware of what is happening next. Visuals allow for my students to better communicate and share information.
