My classroom has a very diverse population when it comes to ability levels, learning styles, and behavioral needs. This year, I have taken on an inquiry based model in science class to spark my students' curiosity by giving them ownership over their learning. Students build their own meaning of challenging concepts through hands-on discovery based labs, computer tasks, and demonstrations. This type of learning is often digitally enhanced; however, unfortunately my school does not have a class sets of headphones. Digital activities allow my students to interact with the material in ways they are interested in, and at a pace suited to their ability. Additionally, it teaches them computer literacy. Many of my students do not have access to computers or internet at home, so tech integration in the classroom is critical to their future success in today's society.
