As we study the human body, it is very helpful for students to be able to not only read and see pictures but also put their hands on a 3 dimensional model of the body system. The more senses students engage the more likely they are to process and remember the information. Hands on models will greatly benefit our students' learning. We will use the models as we study specific body systems allowing students to experience the learning at a whole new level. Models are the perfect way for my students to integrate this "whole body" experience in the classroom. As we study each system, students can better process and create their own writing about these body parts with this great hands on experience.
