All of our students deserve opportunities to read and own their own books despite their economic or nationality background. For many of my students, books are a luxury, not a necessity. If you put a book in a child's hand, you give that child a chance to go places and learn things that spark their minds to dream and go after lifetime goals. By funding this project, I'm hoping that by the end of the year each student will have had the opportunity to choose at least 5 books of their own. Please give my students the opportunity to fall in love with reading! Although we have wonderful public libraries here, some do not have the opportunity to go often or at all. Owning a book is owning a prized possession that all students deserve to have. Please help give my 5th grade students that opportunity.
