As a special education teacher, working with students in an alternative education environment is a unique position that challenges and motivates me to exercise creativity in supporting students on their path to graduation. STEM learning activities prove to be an important part of a child's education and my goal is to offer these types of activities to the students I serve. The items I have selected will allow me to facilitate hands-on learning activities in this personalized learning environment. Providing these experiences for the students I serve will also promote lifelong learning and a sense of belonging by engaging students in activities similar to their peers.
