Teachers are being asked to teach remotely due to the pandemic, which presents some challenges and asks us to find new ways to reach students. Having a standing whiteboard will allow me to continue to teach my students, who need visual representations to help them understand the content being taught, in a way that works best for them. Students with disabilities need to be able to access content in multiple formats, with direct teaching being a research-based method that works for them! The standing whiteboard will help me to teach them effectively in this remote setting. While the desk lamp will ensure that I have enough lighting in my home "classroom" so that students can see me when we are online together.
