My students will be able to build a model city and have hands on control of how to plan, build and run the city. These materials will make a difference in our classroom and the entire school by giving my students the opportunity to critically think while working on an awesome project. We will use the materials to start in the second quarter (late October) daily to be finished before Winter break and I will use the same project during the second semester with my new group of 7th-8th graders. I currently use other online building sites, but feel that the SimCity software will be very beneficial and give my students the chance to really see what engineering is all about.
