Our students will have the opportunity to engage in literacy, math, and core centers that work to strengthen their understanding of our lessons. Our students work very hard to grow in all subjects, however, they don't always have the tools or supplies (i.e., write and wipe pockets, supply caddies, timers) necessary to strengthen their understanding outside of our daily lesson. We teach students to have a growth mindset and we believe that a new classroom library that includes books, like reading bundles, as well as phonics games will help them focus on developing their reading comprehension. Having posters for core will help to strengthen their knowledge of science and social studies. This will allow them to feel empowered and become driven to want to learn more about themselves and the world around them. Our students have the ability to show high levels of growth on standardized tests. However, to stop the wandering eyes, we could use the privacy partitions and storage racks to store them. They have a love for learning and actively seeking out new and interesting ways to grow and demonstrate their abilities. It is our hope that the materials that will be provided will continue to instill in them a love for learning, and help them to grow even faster. One way to show motivation will be through the encouraging stamps.
