In an effort to replicate the stand-up desks, we have purchased bed risers to increase the height of our regular desks but we are aware this is wholly inadequate. The new stand up desks and stools will help my students discharge their energy and self-regulate their emotions. By standing up while working the student is enabled to release that excess energy and increase focus on their assignments and my teaching. Stand up desks are more common in schools and workplaces today and providing these low tech modifications can have a remarkable impact for students to help them reach their true potential.
