This comfortable classroom rug offers kids the chance to identify all seven continents, as well as learn about the dress and customs from cultures around the world. One way I would use this rug in a lesson is having students identify the continent named in lesson by standing on the continent(rug). Another way I would use this academic resource is by having the students identify a similarity of a culture they see on the rug to their own in which students would learn more about and relate to their classmates and others around the world. A third way I would use this academic rug would be to have my students sit and listen to a read aloud and my mini lessons. Students will have the option to sit on the rug to see see pictures and the text and to see the expectations of lessons.
