Our students need and deserve to have books that are reflective of the diverse world they are entering. They need exposure to various different types of authors and characters, both those who reflect and affirm their own experiences and those whose lived experiences are new to them. We need more updated books to give this opportunity to your students! Our students deserve to experience more diversity in their literature so that they can be knowledgeable about and open to the experiences of others as they grow into independent young adults. This project aims to build a library collection that is as diverse and inclusive as our school community!

About my class
