This will be an area where my students, especially my students with autism, can decide on where they want to be. It allows them to be able to choose a work area that will be calming and effective while working independently. It will help these students to feel more comfortable and reduce some of the anxiety that can come from being in the classroom for multiple hours a day. If students can choose where to work, they are more likely to produce their best work. I want to implement more choice into my classroom and produce the most positive classroom environment possible for my middle schoolers in such a stressful age.
