These high interest reading materials offer a variety of skills that are essential for everyday learning. They encompass daily living skills, independent living skills, self determination skills, and social - emotional skills. Many of these students struggle with reading on grade level, however materials that are appropriate for their level are often not engaging and something that they would find interest in. I would like to incorporate these as part of my weekly curriculum as they address a variety of important topics for teens. These materials can also be used for several other classes as well, not just classes that are considered special needs.

About my class
