Throughout the school year, our 6th-8th grade STEM students work hard on a variety of STEM competitions. They actively fundraise throughout the school year by selling a variety of items and also asking the community for donations. The money we raise goes towards competition travel expenses such as registration fees, a charter bus, and hotel expenses. Therefore, it leaves little to no money for material expenses so our STEM students use traditional science boards to display their hand drawn work. We are beyond grateful that we have this resource. However, as we compete at higher levels such as at state and national competitions, we need to stay competitive by properly displaying our hard work, research, and innovative ideas. If we had a poster printer, then we could create professional level displays which would help us win competitions and include more students.
