In our classroom we are really learning how to collaborate, not just working as a group with assigned roles, but working as a team to problem solve. These open-seating options would allow my students to be comfortable, get their wiggles out, and help keep them on task so that they can utilize all their brain power on the task at hand. Our School District is small, and money is extremely tight. Right now, our classroom is made up of four hexagon-shaped tables, which does not allow for much. With the addition of the yoga ball chairs, wobble stools, wiggle seats, and kick bands, I truly believe that the classroom environment would be extremely beneficial for my students attention, and therefore their academic achievement.
