Students may be discouraged to see a counselor due to the stigma that comes with it and the judgment from peers. As their school counselor, it would be great to have a number of tools and resources that encourages them to want to attend individual and group counseling sessions. Comfortable seating allows a more inviting atmosphere and something different than what they are used to in classrooms. Therapeutic arts/crafts, games and music takes the "boring" out of counseling by catering to their personalities; making it a fun place to learn about themselves and how to cope with their daily challenges.
