Our special group of students learn at much different paces and they all would absolutely benefit from having some options, such as balance ball seats and a kiddie couch, for flexible seating due to their sensory needs. We believe having these items in our classroom will promote their love of learning and will also help them to collaborate with their fellow classmates. Daily, we teach (and re-teach!) them to use their words to express what they’re feeling so when they leave our room they can take those skills with them. The emotion pillows will be a great teaching tool to help us prepare them for life after ECS II!
