Learning is most effective for students when they have hands on tools. My kindergarten students will use these resources in multiple ways. Reading phones allow children to hear themselves read, increasing their fluency, comprehension, and accuracy exponentially. The additional hands on letters and game tools will allow large group, small group, and individual practice of multiple early literacy skills. My students have a higher rate of focus and a lower rate of behavioral issues when interacting with hands on lessons. With a daily, trained paraprofessional as a co-teacher, the children we serve will have a higher chance of kindergarten reading success, helping to lay their educational foundation successfully.
