Research has shown that using cool colors such as green and blues have been proven to provide a calming and relaxing environment . I have converted almost everything in my classroom using blue and green colors along with some gray. When people enter my room, there is usually a response like...” Wow, it’s sooo relaxing in here”. That is the environment I wanted to create for my Pre-K babies because so many of them do not have this “calmness” at home. I have used my own money to redo almost everything, with the exception of of our large group carpet area.
