We are requesting glue and books to help my students develop a "Growth Mindset." These materials will help my students understand how to develop a "Growth Mindset." Growth Mindset is a theory developed by Dr. Carol Dweck at Stanford University and I believe this theory will help grow my students into productive citizens. The curriculum I will be using is "Mindset Matters" by Lisa King, Ed.S, LPC. The materials I selected was recommended by the curriculum. The materials will help me teach students that with effort they can grow their brains. I will teach students through the use of the materials about their brain, mindfulness, the importance to have grit and determination, the power of self-talk, and how everyone learns at a different pace. With the materials bought through this donation, I will develop lessons for Grades 2-5 as well as lessons for small group counseling.
