Specific learning disabilities like dyslexia make it difficult for students to read. But with the iPad's and the software that is available, our students can learn to read, listen to books for comprehension, and acquire much needed language. Technology can help them so much! I have seen how technology motivates and gets my students listening to their favorite books and then are able to answer comprehension questions about what they heard. This is a great way to work on these skills and simultaneously build on other skills like listening, language and vocabulary acquisition, and confidence. By receiving these ipads, I can get my students on the right path and prep them for success!
