The materials will be used as a tool for our classroom cooking lessons. Students with special needs will learn the critical skills of self-care by being able to cook for themselves. Pans and dishes will be used directly by students to learn how to cook a variety of foods. Dish-soap and sponges along with containers will be incorporated into lessons by helping students learn the importance of kitchen maintenance. The kitchen materials will serve as key components for our cooking lesson. Additionally, students will learn to chose healthy food options and kitchen safety. The supplies will be a vital component for our classroom to help our students learn foundational skills for independent living skills so they are able to live a more fulfilled life.
