The lacrosse set, tennis balls, and sportime starter pack are an essential addition to my P.E. classroom for my students' learning. Equipment is a key piece in physical education because it plays a huge role in the development of my students both physically and mentally. With this new equipment, students will learn many new traditional and non-traditional skill sets that will increase the possibility of them continuing the activities outside of school, which can contribute to a healthy, active lifestyle. Physical education can be scary for some students due to the fear of failure. This new equipment will play a crucial role in increasing active engagement, motivation, and curiosity with my diverse learners in a physically and emotionally safe learning environment. The equipment would be well-loved and well used throughout our daily P.E. activities and could be extended to recess so that students can practice and play with their classmates. Remember, active students = active learners!
