This is a book we love. Sadly, our books have become torn and tattered. We would love to replace them with brand new books for our kids to read. We will use this book to encourage an appreciation of reading. This is a book that our students have enjoyed for many years. It will be used for our general education students, our special education, as well as ENL students. It is full of figurative language, which children love to learn about. Additionally, there is so much to teach in terms of character development and plot. Finally, we teach vocabulary, inferencing, and so many other reading skills. It is a funny, charming, and heartwarming book that is perfect for kids.
