Hello and welcome! I strongly believe that hands on experiences are extremely beneficial for learning. In my classroom I have 5 anoles, a beta fish with a hydroponic tank, as well as a bearded dragon. These class pets not only encourage responsibility and growth but foster a therapeutic environment for my students. I teach biology, anatomy, and environmental science and had the pleasure of bringing 3 students to a STEM conference in Boston. My students presented their research on plastic eating fungi and I couldn't have been more proud. I teach at Pathways, an alternative high school and unfortunately we have low funds and often run out of supplies. Anything that you can donate to my classroom is much appreciated! My students and I remain grateful for everything that is donated to us through donorschoose. Thank you for coming to this page, much love and light to all. -Ms Lamas
