All of our students want to learn how to read. They want to strive to do their best. With these new emergent reader books, we will provide our students with the opportunity to excel in academics and become life-long readers. Right now, our library does not have enough low-level emergent books to meet the needs of our beginner readers or our struggling readers. Our students need a fair chance to learn how to read so they can become better scholars. Due to the low-economical situations of the majority of our families, proper literary resources are not found at home. Providing these new books will give all of our students a chance to become independent avid readers. Having books that are suitable for our entire student population will enable them all to achieve their reading goals and look at reading in a more positive way. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student reading ability, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Our students will become independent, avid life-long readers. "Today a reader, tomorrow a leader" is a quote that is displayed in our library to remind our student body of the importance of reading. With these new books, our leaders of tomorrow will be enriched with new experiences through the printed world.
