Help me give my students the opportunity to explore various STEM-related activities through play! By experimenting and exploring with these new toys and tools, my students will develop a passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Building toys have significant cognitive and academic benefits for children of all ages. Over the first month of school, I have observed the desire and need for hands-on play based learning in my students. The tools and toys I have chosen for this project directly reflect the needs and interests of my students. They LOVE things similar to the Gears! Gears! Gears! Super Building Toy Set by Learning Resources. I know that will be a big hit in our classroom! Our school also has a huge garden, so the Flower Building Set will also be popular with my kiddos! Incorporating STEM in early childhood opens the door for students to become tomorrow's movers and shakers, innovators, and creators! Young children with a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics will go on to be the leaders and innovators of the future!
