Many of our students come to school looking for a certain unconditional warmth and understanding that only a teacher can provide. The carpet will give our class a comforting spot for large group meetings to effectively impact everyone. This pattern choice will enable us to have highly effective group meetings that will give opportunities for me to call students by colors or rows. Additionally, the carpet allows for teaching spacial awareness with it's multiple squares. Currently, my classroom is completely tiled and needs that cozy place where we can, gather, explore, learn, laugh and play. This will offer continued learning in a warm environment for years to come appropriate for multiple grade levels.
