The Budget Challenge is a 10-week online simulation program with full curriculum and assessments. In this online program, students will have a hypothetical job, living costs, saving/checking accounts, expenses, unexpected events, and more. They will practice the real life skills that matter, while simultaneously learning Algebra and growth rates. Students will practice achieving financial goals most adults struggle with. Students will: Create an emergency fund Pay off a credit card Save for retirement Pay bills on-time Protect credit health Pay down student loan debt Learn from financial mistakes and more... Many of our students already work to help support their families and could benefit from real-world skills in money management. My hope is that students will take the financial literacy skills they learn and apply them to their personal life, with long-term advantages.
