My classroom will be open for children for all grade levels (K-8) in which students will use the rug to sit on to engage in my reading various kinds of stories. The younger students will sit on the carpet and work collaboratively with each other in completing activities. It can be a task keeping younger students engaged, so I believe the "colorful" rug will enable them to sit comfortably while listening to a story or competing an activity. Having a rocking chair in the classroom will be a great resource as children are sitting on the rug and participating in shared reading. Finally, the folders will be used for students to place their writing materials, which will ultimately keep us organized.
