Students will use Yupo paper, graphite powder, graphite sticks, white glue, and their compositional skills to create original line drawings. They will achieve tone and depth by using the graphite to rub over dried white glue to create beautiful and interesting lines. They will use an eraser to pull out white lines and then use the graphite stick to outline the dried glue lines to create more detail. Students will be encouraged to loosen up and lose control with these lines. The students will view and discuss each piece at the end By critiquing and giving constructive comments and suggestions.
