Not all children have the endurance built up for an entire day of focus and listening in the traditional classroom furniture setting. I want to provide my students with some seating and work space options that will help them engage in their learning with the whole body in mind. Changing a child's physical position in the learning environment can improve their ability to focus and engage on a task. Flexible seating such as wobble stools, exercise balls, and portable lap desks would provide the opportunity for students to make a choice in their learning environment. These flexible seating options will also allow my students to be mobile withing our learning environment.
